Mountain Clearing & Brushing, Inc. specializes in making our heavily overgrown forest/woodlands in the central Sierras safe against catastrophic wildfires. MCBi does this by reducing highly flammable brush and thinning densely vegetated forested landscapes.  The staff has over 25 years of professional experience in the forest and fuels reduction industry.
Before TreatmentBefore Treatment - This property is located near the town of Dobbins and was heavily over grown. The owners were very concerned about the wildfire risks and the possibility of losing their home and property. The owners applied for EQIP through NRCS to help pay for the costs of restoring the forest to a healthier and safer state.
After TreatmentAfter Treatment - The potential for a catastrophic wildfire traveling through the property has been reduced. This forest is now much more open and lacks the ladder fuels such as brush that contribute to catastrophic wildfire.

An excess of woody vegetation in California continues to be a realistic problem. Brushing allows the landowner or manager to optimize the value of resources for livestock, wildlife, aesthetics, recreation, water and real estate, or other uses, such as wood products while providing the products and services that other stakeholders desire.
